Media has taken atention away from the victims and made this political. The six killed included a federal judge, John Roll; an aide to Giffords and 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green, who was born on Sept. 11, 2001 and was featured in a book called “Faces of Hope” that chronicled one baby from each state born on the day terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people.
The author, Christine Naman said: “Tragedy seems to have happened again.”
Green was recently elected as a student council member and went to the morning’s event because of her interest in government.
Fourteen others were injured, including the three-term Democrat lawmaker. Authorities said the dead included Roll; Green; Giffords aide Gabe Zimmerman, 30; Dorothy Morris, 76; Dorwin Stoddard, 76; and Phyllis Schneck, 79.
Former Senator Bob Kerrey (D-Nebraska) appeared on Don Imus’s show this morning and made the unfounded accusation that Arizona gunman Jared Loughner was motivated by talk of repealing Obamacare (at about 2:00)

I would like Bob Kerrey to provide evidence that the repeal of Obamacare had anything to do with the Tucson shootings. I would also like MSNBC to re-run the rant by Chris Matthews where he talked about shooting Rush Limbagh in the head. Then I would like CNN to re-run the segment where they placed a crosshairs over the face of President Bush. Then I would like all the alphabet channels to run the President saying “they bring a knife to a fight, we bring a gun.” Or, “your neighbors don’t agree with you…get in their face, get angry.” (I paraphrase, but it’s pretty darn close). Then I want them to run all the rants of Pelosi and Reid, the namecalling, etc. Then, I want them to justify their comments.
