Radical Islam: King’s hearings a ‘calculated deception’ & Muslim message tool

Americans have looked forward to hearings, planned by Representative Peter King, now chairman of the Homeland Security Committee to investigate the threat and reach of radical Islam in America. Muslims have been vocal about their apprehension for the same reason that many Americans have been supportive – intense scrutiny of the Islam faith may uncover and pinpoint threats the Islam community would rather not have to confront; but nevertheless, recognizing and dealing rationally with these radical Islamics is imperative to the protection and security of American citizens.
King plans to start with a focus on American terrorism atrocities at Fort Hood, the Times Square bombing and then move on to others. King has spoken critically about the hands-off approach the Obama administration has had towards the threat of American Islam terrorism potential, saying that any idea that Obama has that the leadership to confront this problem will come from the Islam community has proven to be untrue. King said, infact, that, “The leadership of the community is not geared to cooperation.”

Now the news is out that King is capitulating to the Muslim community, skipping right over two very important voices who have spoken out demanding that moderate Muslims to do more from the beginning to denounce radical Islamists. Instead of hosting those witnesses, King has decided to favor radical Muslims who are opposed to the basic concept of even having the hearings.
Following is a transcript of an excerpt of a letter from one of the most disappointed, Steve Emerson, – a witness that Politico reveals King inexplicably strung along and then failed to include – apparently for politically correct reasons:

Dear Pete: I am writing this letter more in sorrow than in anger. Since you apparently believe that Keith Ellison is a better witness on Islamic radicalism than me, and since you think that Ellison is a better friend than me, I don’t know what the purpose of the meeting is for today. In fact, let me graciously give up my hour this afternoon to Ellison and his Muslim Brotherhood friends who have called you a “Nazi,” a “bigot,” a “racist,” an “Islamophobe,” and a “McCarthyite.” Your interview with Politico announcing that I am not going to be a witness came as a shock to me especially in light of the fact that I have been told over and over and over again that no witnesses had been selected. I have dutifully worked with your staff in trying to help you prepare for these meetings but obviously you don’t need my input. To be told over and over again for more than 8 weeks that no witnesses had been selected, beyond having worked with you and your staff for the last 8 years, only to read your interview yesterday, shows me that calculated deception is at play here. I apologize for having to use those words but there is no other explanation.
I had been planning on bringing in five new empirical ground breaking investigative reports, which our IPT staff has worked on assiduously for nearly two years, in surveying how all the Muslim Brotherhood legacy groups (CAIR, MPAC, MAS, ISNA, ICNA, IIIT, etc which control the Islamic “mainstream” community), have undeniably impeded FBI counter-terrorism efforts and have told their constituencies not to talk to talk to the FBI. I was even prepared to bring an amazing study showing that the claims of groups like MPAC which assert that Muslims have stopped a third of all terrorist attacks in this country to be demonstrably fiction and totally fabricated. And I was going to bring shocking secret video and audio of these Muslim groups’ closed door meetings that we took of their incendiary, anti-American, anti-FBI and anti-Semitic comments that these groups said behind closed doors . The film excerpts were going to be selected from our upcoming documentary, “Jihad in America 2: The Grand Deception.” I will be releasing those reports thru other congressional and media venues.

So there you have a portion of the letter, with the accusation of “calculated deception”. In place of Emerson, it appears King has opted to host Ellison and witnesses from the like of such groups as CAIR.

This “calculated deception” is designed to fool all of America, a sham. Did King ever plan to have a real hearing or did he sell out some where along the way?
NOTE: Be certain to watch the video and contrast the language of Ellison, a chosen witness, available on the sidebar. It’s likely that soon, Pete King will choke on the words “Islamic terrorist” or “radical Islam”, in Eric Holder’s and Barack Obama’s image.
What sense does it make to even bother to spend American money on a hearing about the potential for American danger from radical Islam if only radical Islamists are allowed to testify?

Rep. King chooses Ellison, Muslims for radicalization hearings

Two of, if not, the most prominent and vocal researchers and opponents of Islamic jihad and sharia in the U.S., Steve Emerson and Robert Spencer, won’t be called to testify in Rep. Peter King’s hearings on the radicalization of Muslims in the U.S. But, at least one radical-friendly Muslim will be – former Nation of Islam member and Sunni Muslim, Congressman Keith Ellison. This according to a letter from Steve Emerson to King, shared by King at Politico, King witness list provokes bitter split among Islam critics.

It goes on, and gets uglier, and, needless to say Ellison, CAIR, Politico, and all those who aid and abet the Muslim Brotherhood fronts in the U.S. are laughing all the way to the bank as King and others allow the media, directed by CAIR et al, to dictate who can even speak about Islam.

While we’re surprised that King will reportedly only call Muslims as witnesses, we’re not surprised that King is apparently not really interested in the truth. Remember also it was Ellison rejected King’s hearings and called for Muslims to “safeguard our country.” Apparently King has submitted to Ellison’s Islamist whims.

Last year we posted ‘Peter King doesn’t deserve to be a NY Congressman‘ playing off King’s own words about attorney general Eric Holder’s refusal to say “radical Islam” while highlighting that King himself doesn’t quite get it. “Radical Islam” isn’t a Western creation and concept – it doesn’t exist anywhere else. Calling Keith Ellison as a witness on the so-called radicalization of Muslims proves again that King doesn’t get it.
