The President’s weekly address. He is telling us his plan.

Let’s have a look at the President’s remarks for February 5th and see how he is being direct and transparent with the American people. The President’s opening remarks:

This week, we received a report on jobs and unemployment that told us we’re continuing to move in the right direction. But we need to get there faster. In the short-term, the bipartisan tax cut we passed in December will give an added boost to job creation and economic growth. This is a tax cut that is already making Americans’ paychecks a little bigger and giving businesses more incentive to invest and hire.

Let’s start with the very first statement. 36,000 jobs last month. That means that .0001% of the population got back to work last month. With the government reported rate dropping .4%, something is just not lining up. Hence the president’s comment on not moving fast enough. That was pretty good cover for his press secretary if questioned. He then goes on to talk about the bipartisan tax cut that was passed in December. A couple of things here. 1. Could the surge in January consumer spending be easily explained by relief over the pending tax increase going away. Easily! 2. My pay check did not get bigger with this agreement to continue the tax levy at the rate it has been for 10 years. This is the most disingenuous of comments. It is false. I will cut to the chase. Joe Wilson is right. The President lies. And I don;t like to do that but come on look at the facts.

On Thursday, I went to Penn State University, whose students and researchers are poised to lead the way on innovation and job creation. They’re taking up the challenge we’ve issued to scientists and engineers all across the country: if you assemble teams of the best minds in your field, and focus on tackling the biggest obstacles to providing America with clean, affordable energy, we’ll get behind your work. Your government will support your research.

Here ,we see clearly that this agenda driven President is not going to back off on the environment. He will attempt to spend our money on research that should be done by the private sector. I applaud the faculty of Penn State and the students but why with the cost of going there do we need to pump more money into the school to fund research. That is the responsibility of private industry who should be the ultimate recipient of the researches profit. Why does the President not see that? This is backwards folks and they (the left) is not backing off.

All we did for these companies was provide some tax credits and financing opportunities. And that’s what we want to do going forward, so that it’s profitable for American businesses to sell the discoveries made by the scientists at Penn State and other hubs of innovation. If businesses sell these discoveries – if they start making windows and insulation and buildings that save more energy – they will hire more workers. And that’s how Americans will prosper. That’s how we’ll win the future.

This folks is a very important passage, “All we did” read this carefully. This President has no intention of getting rid of government regulation. He may do some window dressing (pardon the pun) but this paragraph is clear. We will not back off on regulation. The closing is probably the most telling.

Supporting businesses with this kind of 21st century infrastructure and cutting-edge innovation is our responsibility. But businesses have a responsibility, too. If we make America the best place to do business, businesses should make their mark in America. They should set up shop here, and hire our workers, and pay decent wages, and invest in the future of this nation. That’s their obligation. And that’s the message I’ll be bringing to American business leaders at the Chamber of Commerce on Monday – that government and businesses have mutual responsibilities; and that if we fulfill these obligations together, it benefits us all. Our workers will succeed. Our nation will prosper. And America will win the future in this century just like we did in the last.

How much more clearly can this man state his goal. A communion between business and government? Business is obligated to hire workers here? In his closing line he talks of the past and how America built a powerful economic machine. What this very progressive President does not see is that the growth was done without government intervention and it has been the spiraling growth of government that has begun the steady decline in our stature in the world economic scene. Until we remove Barak Obama and other progressives from our government we will continue down this road to a federally controlled country. The states need to rise up. Every Governor and Attorneys General need to begin the process of bringing more lawsuits against the Federal government for intrusions into the states rights. Gun Control, Medical and anything the constitution clearly states is a right reserved for the people and the several states.
