U.N. Body Condemns Israel’s Treatment of Palestinian Women, but Ignores Plight of Women in Iran and Libya
(CNSNews.com) A U.N. policy-making body dedicated to gender equality and the advancement of women has adopted a resolution accusing Israel of holding back the advancement of Palestinian women, but it took no action on the emergency in Libya or the legally enshrined discrimination faced by women in Iran. Libya is a member of the 45-country CSW, and Iran has just taken up a seat on the body for the next four years.

Planned Parenthood’s ‘Truth Tour” Does Not Mention the 332,278 Abortions It Performed in 2009
(CNSNews.com) – Planned Parenthood Federation of America is fighting a congressional attempt to end federal funding for the organization with a nationwide bus tour, dubbed the “Truth Tour.” The organization’s bright pink bus advertises various Planned Parenthood statistics and health data, but it does not include the number of abortions its clinics have performed — more than 332,000 in 2009.

Cantor: Budget Cannot Be Balanced in Next 10 Years Without ‘Severely Impacting’ Seniors — Which GOP Won’t Do
(CNSNews.com) – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R.-Va.) said Tuesday that the federal budget cannot be balanced any time within the next 10 years without “severely impacting the benefits” for seniors — something he said the Republicans will not do. Cantor also said Republicans are moving towards reforming entitlement programs “for those 54 and younger” — but will not change the benefits of those 55 and older.
