Mission Accomplished?

Obama to address high energy prices

If he was consistent he’d declare mission accomplished because he’s ‘necessarily’ skyrocketed energy prices. But he’s not, so he’s going to pretend he’s concerned while blaming the oil companies. Obama’s solution? Cut back oil imports and tell Americans to ‘decrease consumption’ of oil and burn more food for fuel (ethanol).

Trivia: What do you do when faced with an impending energy crisis and skyrocketing oil prices? Answer: Obstruct domestic oil production and rely on foreign imports! Yeahbuhwhat?

On radio this morning, Glenn took a look at Obama’s nonsensical energy strategy.

“One of the things that is not going to help the approval rating is the price of gasoline at the gas pump. $3.60 is the national average. Over $4 here in New York. It’s remarkable because now he’s on television today saying he’s got his new energy policy,” Glenn said.

“The President just okayed a permit last week. You know we’ve been complaining‑‑ he hasn’t approved any permits in the Gulf. He just approved one last week. And he approved one that the oil companies said, you know, we would like to try this area and this is a long list of all the permits that they want to try. We would like to try this area, too. They approved out of all the permits they could approve, they approved the one where there’s never been an active oil well ever,” Glenn said (emphasis mine).

“We could go and open up the places where we know there’s oil. No,” Glenn said.Glenn then “hypnotized” Pat and Stu to convince them that, yes, they want to reduce their energy consumption by 33% and they will forget all about that major oil contract that Obama gave to Brazil.

“You’re a little intense for a hypnotist,” Stu joked.Check out the video below to see Stu and Pat fall under Glenn’s hypnotic spell.

Obama’s Actions on U.S. Energy Production ‘Diametrically’ Opposed to His Rhetoric, Says Natural Resources Chairman
Washington (CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama speaks a good game about expanding U.S. energy production but his actions contradict his words, said Rep. Richard “Doc” Hastings (R-Wash.), chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, who added that Obama’s actions show he “is not in favor of expanding American energy production and creating American jobs.”
