This is no April Fools joke.

An Arizona sheriff will be testifying under oath next month that U.S. Border Patrol officials have repeatedly told him to reduce at times even stop arrests of illegal immigrants caught trying to cross the U.S. border.

Just today, Minuteman PAC heard of this outrageous deception put forth by the Obama Administration in a desperate attempt to make Sec. of Homeland Security Janet Napolitanos claim that the border was more secure than ever, match with the statistics.

Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever revealed that a supervisor with the U.S. Border Patrol told him as recently as this month that the federal agencys office on Arizonas southern border was under orders to keep apprehension numbers down during specific reporting periods.

The senior supervisor with the U.S. Border Patrol then went on to explain about how their mission is not to scare people back and that the supervisor had to go back to his guys and tell them not to catch anybody, that their job is to chase people away. They were not to catch anyone, arrest anyone. Their job was to set up posture, to intimidate people, to get them to go back.

Sheriff Dever plans to relay the substance of these conversations when he testifies under oath next month before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Devers charges were vigorously denied by a commander with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection saying the mission of Border Patrol does not waiver based on political climate.

Sure it doesnt.

The Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Border Patrol have already come under fire for the methodology used and conclusions drawn showing that the U.S.-Mexico border is more secure.

Regardless of methodology, Sheriff Dever said the numbers Sec. Napolitano is basing her claim of increased border security on do not accurately describe what is happening on the ground.

We all know that anyone who wants to cross into the United States from the Mexican side of the border can do so with ease.

We also know that the Obama Administration is solely focused on Election 2012 not to mention depending on Amnesty for 12 million new voters to win to listen to the majority of Americans when it comes to securing our border and enforcing immigration law.

But conservatives are back in control of the House.

And in 2012, we can flood the Senate and the Oval Office with Border Security Patriots.

But to demand change in Washington and to keep the immigration crisis from deteriorating Americas economy and putting our families in danger, we need your help.

Illegal immigration is as serious as a threat can get to a nation and its pushed America to the brink of poverty at the state and federal levels. The related drug- and gang-violence is invading our neighborhoods and schools hurting our families, our friends, and our future.
