Nasdaq and partner make rival NYSE bid

Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. and IntercontinentalExchange Inc. bid $42.50 in cash and stock for each NYSE Euronext share, about $11.3 billion, higher than Deutsche Boerse’s $9.5 billion offer.
