One in two New Jerseyans say they are financially worse off than a year ago, a sign the state is still reeling from the effects of the recession, according to a poll released today.
Forty-five percent of residents said their financial situation has deteriorated in the last year, just a slight improvement over the 48 percent in January, according to Fairleigh Dickinson University’s quarterly PublicMind Poll. Only 26 percent said they were better off, essentially unchanged from the last quarter.
