Congressman Weiner. The jokes have written themselves, haven’t they?

In all seriousness, however, Anthony Weiner must go.

In Monday’s press conference, held ostensibly to apologize and take responsibility for his actions, the New York Democrat seemingly continued his strategy of obfuscation, evading the questions about his use of government resources and arrogantly refusing to resign.  

Add your voice to Republican, Democrat and Independent demands that Representative Weiner truly take responsibility for his harmful behavior by signing this petition.

Weiner’s behavior was shocking and atrocious, he actively lied and solicited backers in a cover-up, it did involve congressional resources, and he must be held accountable. His Democrat colleagues and leadership need to step in and convince him to step down. 

The Rules of the House of Representatives requires its members to act “in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House.” It is clear that Congressman Weiner is in violation of the Congress and has failed to adhere to the barest minimum standards Americans have a right to expect of their public servants.

Sign the petition telling him to spare our government and the American people the high costs and distraction of further investigation in this matter and RESIGN.
