    Please don’t think that anyone really believes it was just an oversight to leave out “under God” from the opening on the US Open Golf Championship. This had to be edited and proofed before it was aired. Please tell me how anyone thinks they have the authority to re-write our founding father’s pledge to our country. We are huge golf fans, but we will not continue to watch on NBC. It is this type of incident that makes Americans appear unloyal and afraid to stand and speak with pride of our “one nation, under God.” Do not group us in with this unclassy, unpatriotic and arrogant NBC staff. Please tell me how many other countries would ever leave out parts of thier pledge to their flag and country…’only in America.” as they say could anyone get away with it. The person who made the final decision should be terminated. The golf channel should be ashamed to be affliated with NBC Sports.

    I firmly believe that the responsible person or persons who omitted “UNDER GOD” should be terminated.you folks have people to proofread. The apology from your station was not enough.I’m 69 years old and a huge golf fan , I will not watch golf or any other programming in the future .
