(CNSNews.com) – Although President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats are proposing to trim the federal deficit by $4 trillion through tax hikes and budget cuts parceled out over the next 10 years as part of the debt limit negotiations, Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) warned that promises of future spending cuts have been tried before and failed.
