Among the several arguments for why immigrants illegally cross are border, the primary reason given is that there is no work or opportunity for them in Mexico and that they must go “al norte” because work is waiting for them.

Furthermore, they claim their families must join the original trailblazer in the U.S. because it is so difficult to cross and coyote fees are expensive hence the significant increase in women and children illegally crossing the border within the past few years.

However, despite the pulled heartstrings, it is not the responsibility of the United States of America to solve the unemployment and corruption problems in Mexico or anywhere else.
