Did Obama Lie About Joe Biden’s “Tea Party Terrorists” Remark?

Most of you are probably already familiar with Vice President Joe Biden’s recent comments referring to the debt fight opposition as being like “terrorists.” You probably also know Biden has lightly attempted to walk it back, suggesting it wasn’t really as harsh as it sounds.

Some in the mainstream media (and left wing blogosphere) claim the story is not accurate and the comments never happened. The problem is, Joe Biden’s office and the White House has made ZERO attempts to get a retraction or “correction” in the story. Furthermore, the news organization that broke the original story stands by it and is now posting further evidence of the story’s authenticity.

Why then, when asked by an Iowa tea party activist, did President Obama deny it and defend Biden? It’s not like Obama was not aware of the story. Biden’s comments were above the fold for a week straight and outrage has spread across the movement like wildfire.

There is NO evidence the story was fabricated. There is AMPLE evidence Biden made the comments likening the tea party to terrorists.

This isn’t the first time Obama has been caught lying. But this might be the most insulting instance.

Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having “acted like terrorists” in the fight over raising the nation’s debt limit, according to several sources in the room.
Biden was agreeing with a line of argument made by Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) at a two-hour, closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting.

“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”

Biden, driven by his Democratic allies’ misgivings about the debt-limit deal, responded: “They have acted like terrorists.”
