Two Men Arrested in Brockport Arson Spree
Two men have been accused of intentionally setting five separate fires in the village of Brockport early Tuesday morning.
According to police, all of the incidents in the village happened between midnight and 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Police charged 23-year-old Phillip Ziegler with intentionally setting some of the fires in the village. Ziegler is charged with three felony counts of arson and two counts of criminal mischief.
19-year-old Adam Bond of Clarkson was also charged with one count of third degree arson and one count of criminal mischief.
Authorities said within two and a half hours early Tuesday morning, a dumpster, two cars, a trash can, and a barn were set on fire.
Police found evidence of arson in the vehicles that were burned. Police said they discovered something in the necks of the gas tanks in the cars. If the gas tanks had ignited, police said the nearby occupied houses could have set on fire.
No one was injured during the fires, but property was damaged. http://rochester.ynn.com/content/top_stories/553806/two-men-arrested-in-brockport-arson-spree/
