“An interesting question to ponder was why were they having their Los Angeles County weekend conference in Riverside County? I’m sure there are plenty of Los Angeles hotels that could use the money they’re getting from the 600+ teachers who attend the La Quinta Resort & Spa event in Palm Springs. I did a quick search at Hotels.com and found the Valley Inn & Conference Center in Mission Hills, where rooms start at only $67 per night.
But then again, I’m pretty sure the Valley Inn doesn’t have 41 swimming pools, 53 Jacuzzi’s, posh stores like Ralph Lauren Polo and Tommy Bahamas, and gourmet restaurants scattered throughout the grounds. (The word “ostentatious” keeps popping in my head for some reason…)
And for a group of people who seem to hate elitists so desperately, these pots may need to check in the mirror to see what a kettle looks like…”
