Evolution is a religion that requires a much stronger faith than Christianity does. Its entire thesis relies on speculation, using phrases such as: “it is generally observed;” “we cannot directly observe;” “it has been conjectured that;” “these ideas remain speculative.” True science consists of what can be observed and tested by experimentation.
British physicist H. S. Lipson stated:
Evolution became in a sense a scientific religion; almost all scientists have accepted it and many are prepared to “bend” their observations to fit with it. . . To my mind, the theory [evolution] does not stand up at all. . . If living matter is not, then, caused by the interplay of atoms, natural forces, and radiation, how has it come into being?. . . I think, however, that we must go further than this and admit that the only acceptable explanation is creation. [A Physicist Looks at Evolution, Physics Bulletin, May 1980, p. 138]
We will contrast just a few of the main tenets of evolution here.
1. “The universe created itself in closed time loops.” Atheist Stephen Hawkings objects, stating that physical laws do not permit closed timelike curves. This would be like saying the immutable laws of physics altered – to allow the universe to be its own mother. More metaphysical than physics.
2. “Galaxies formed and stars produced heavier elements.” Hadley Wood states there is no process that can maintain a spiral arm for just two galactic revolutions -let only the number required for evolutionary theory. Jay Gallagher and Jean Keppel refine this further by saying the process by which galaxies clump together poses a significant mystery for astronomers.
3. “Life arose on planet earth.” The possibility that life could arise from inanimate matter is so remote – it is statistically impossible. Francis Crick, an expert in DNA says there is virtually no chance that the first life could have spontaneously generated from Earth’s chemistry.
