Six Flags Fiesta Texas to host Muslim Family Day: Eid Celebration!

From Abe Levy with the San Antonio Express: Up to 3,000 Muslims from around the state are expected to converge Sunday on Six Flags Fiesta Texas for “Muslim Family Day.”
The event is designed to celebrate Ramadan’s [Ramadan. The celebration of the month that the Angel Gabriel appeared to Muhammad in the cave of Hira in Mecca in 610. The Angel Gabriel told Muhammad that Allah was the last and greatest of all the prophets before him and nobody else measured up to the trader from Mecca. The month that the non-Muslim world is still having to face or flee, given Islam’s 1400-year history of conquest and invasion that’s left at least 270M people dead in its wake. Why in all good sense do we have to accept this at our parks and other public places? It is probably the largest Muslim-themed event ever held at Fiesta Texas, a development hailed as significant by local Muslim and interfaith leaders [I would call those people useful enablers and collaborators—Dorrie] as the 10th anniversary of 9-11 nears.
Families from as far as Corpus Christi, Austin, and Waco have committed to attending the event, sponsored by local chapters of the Muslim American Society (MAS), and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). [So, MAS, started by the founding members of what became the US Muslim Brotherhood, and CAIR, which is Hamas-doing-business-in-the-US, is sponsoring what this reporter thinks is a good thing?—Dorrie]
Fiesta Texas will be open to the general public that day as scheduled, a local park spokeswoman said. She stressed that the event is not sponsored by Six Flags but reflects the park’s routine practice of booking events for assorted religious, charitable, and corporate groups.
According to the arrangement, the two groups are selling discounted tickets and parking passes for an event that aims to give Muslim families a festive way to mark Ramadan’s end while sharing their culture and challenging stereotypes. [How does a sterotype challenge a sterotype? For goodness sake, this is being put on by the Muslim Brotherhood, not the Sisters of Mercy.]
The Fiesta Texas event will cater to Muslims with children, organizers said. It coincides with another large Eid event at La Villita’s Maverick Park, sponsored by the Muslim Cultural Heritage Society. [Right. It just gets worse.]
At Fiesta Texas, Muslims will gather at the park�s Picnic Grove, which has an open lawn and pavilions. Activities will include Muslim prayers [how many of you have been on the outside watching a Muslim prayer event? It’s not particularly pretty, and it’s also not particularly necessary. Sharia law says that prayers may be made up. . . and in a public event like this, can anyone think of reason why it shouldn’t be made up, as opposed to inflicting the practice on the non-Muslims present? How many times has anyone seen a Catholic Mass held in an amusement park?], entertainment, socializing, and meals in keeping with the faith’s dietary laws.
The public is welcome to buy meal tickets for international[halal — look it up]cuisine from local Muslim restaurateurs, event planners said.
Last year, the Muslim American Society sponsored what it said was the first Muslim-themed event at Fiesta Texas, attracting about 400 people, said local MAS public relations director Said Motawea. [And since no one objected to that, now we get 3000 people? I would suggest we object before we get 30,000 and no non-Muslim can use the amusement park ever again.]
The interaction with the general public at a popular, high-traffic amusement park will go far in reducing anxieties between Muslims and the larger community, said Sarwat Husain, [Hamas-linked] CAIR’s local president.
“It’s our community, too, and we are mainstream just like anybody else,” [Oh right. How many in your community housed victims of Hurricane Katrina, or fought the fires in mid-TX this year? How many in your community have said Down With Obama, and Up With America? Forget BHO; how many have said Up with America?]she said. “It’s also giving a boost to the Muslims for what they have been going through. Husain praised Fiesta Texas for allowing an event styled after ones organized at other Six Flags parks by the Islamic Circle of North America. In Dallas, Six Flags has been reserved the entire day for the Muslim community. [Oh, no! People, complain!]

Local chapters of CAIR, The Council on American-Islamic Relations, and MAS, the Muslim American Society are sponsoring this event. Why would Fiesta Texas want to have the unindicted co-conspirator, Hamas-linked CAIR sponsor an event at their park?

Why would Fiesta Texas want Muslim Brotherhood-connected MAS to sponsor an event? MAS was founded as the United States chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose goal is the introduction of sharia (Islamic Law) as the basis controlling the affairs of state and society.
