Washington (CNSNews.com) – House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) says he expects Congress to pass a short-term appropriations bill, also known as a continuing resolution (CR), to keep the government running beyond Sept. 30.

Hoyer was responding to a question about whether a continuing resolution would pass by September 30 – the end of the government’s fiscal year — “without any incident.”
