ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SENTENCED FOR SEX-TRAFFICKING 15-YEAR-OLD
U.S. District Judge Lynwood Smith sentenced 32-year-old Manuel Enrique Zelaya-Rodriguez on Tuesday for the trafficking of 15-year-old girl for sex, coercing a minor to engage in prostitution and two immigration offenses. According to U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance, Zelaya-Rodriguez took money from 40 to 50 men to have sex with the girl, during a two-week period in 2009. Zelaya-Rodriguez will be subject to deportation after serving his sentence of 15 years and eight months for his disgusting exploitation of a desperate, young girl who was also an illegal immigrant. YET ANOTHER DRUG-SMUGGLING TUNNEL DISCOVERED AT BORDER
U.S. authorities discovered yesterday a major cross-border tunnel used to smuggle drugs from Tijuana, Mexico to San Diego, California. A spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in San Diego is calling it the most sophisticated major tunnel discovered in the past five years.
A photo released by U.S. authorities shows a hydraulic lift inside the Tijuana building that houses the Mexican tunnel entrance which ironically is on the same block as a federal police office. More details are expected today.
