Trending this hour…hundreds of websites are taking part in the fight against SOPA – the Stop Online Piracy Act. The websites have declared today American Censorship Day in an effort to protest today’s hearing on the bill in the House Judiciary Committee. The bill is designed to make allegedly copyright infringing sites virtually disappear from the internet. Major players are coming out on both sides of the SOPA battle. While lobbyists for Hollywood applaud the bill…Google, Facebook and Zynga have joined a slew of sites protesting the proposed act.
