FORGOTTEN BY MANY AMERICANS BACK HOME

It is always very sad to have to write post emails like this one, but it’s all the more important that it be done. One of the saddest things we can imagine is to allow our current serving troops and the war they are fighting in Afghanistan to be forgotten. Unfortunately we see it already happening.
Obama is doing everything he can to lose the war in Afghanistan, he’s trying to negotiate with the Taliban, a terrorist network! He’s even talked about releasing terrorist leaders held at Guantanamo Bay as a friendly overture to the enemy to bring them to the bargaining table. Is this how America wins wars?
Obama has all but forgotten about Afghanistan, in terms of our troops and actually working toward victory – and the media is just as bad.

When one reporter actually looked at the numbers, he found that an alarming number of reporters have left Afghanistan. Ben Schreiner writes, “…just as American troops have withdrawn from Iraq, the American press has largely packed up and withdrawn from Afghanistan.”
He also points out that according to Pew Research, coverage of the war in Afghanistan accounted for only 2% of US press content this past year. That’s just pitiful. How can we say we support our troops when we’re not even paying attention to them?
Try to take stock of how much time you spend thinking about our troops over in Afghanistan. Are you paying them at least 2% of your attention? We think our troops deserve at least that much.
