Help, I have a question. US Mint caught in a huge lie

Does anyone know where the shield on the back of the new penny comes from because it sure isn’t the Union Shield from the time of Lincoln!

You can clearly see with a layman’s eye the US Mint is lying through their teeth. I recognize the emblem they are using and I seem to recall it being russian or from that area but not anything else. Thanks!

2012 Lincoln One-Cent Reversehere is the penny to compare it to the real Union Shield. http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/circulatingCoins/?action=CircPenny
