November 16th – CDR Youssef Aboul-Enein discusses “Discourses on the 2011 Egyptian Revolution and the Arab Spring: Why it Happened? How it Occurred? and Where is it Going?”

CDR Youssef H. Aboul-Enein, USN, an officer in the Navy Medical Service Corps, has advised at the highest levels of the defense department and intelligence community. Born in Mississippi and raised in Saudi Arabia, he holds an MS in strategic intelligence from the National Defense Intelligence College and is stationed in the Washington, DC area.
CDR Aboul-Enein, served as Director for North Africa and Egypt at the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy from 2002 to 2006. He is the author of numerous essays in U.S. Army Journals exposing American military readers to the memoirs of Egyptian Generals.
CDR Aboul-Enein also served as historical advisor to the BBC/Discovery Channel Series “20th Century Battlefields,” episode 8 on the 1973 Yom-Kippur War.
