On Thursday’s CBS Evening News, Akerson affirmed he did and “the Obama administration did a good job.” Reynolds pointed out how Mitt Romney “argued the bailout was unnecessary, and that the regular bankruptcy process would have made GM and Chrysler stronger companies. Would that have happened?” Akerson rejected the notion, insisting if not for the bailout “you could have written off this company, this industry, and this country.” “Instead,” Reynolds, hailed, “GM announced today that 47,500 blue collar workers in the U.S. will be getting profit sharing checks next month, checks of approximately $7,000 apiece.”

And I know it’s tongue-in-cheek….I don’t like it.” Snyderman made the declaration during the Today’s Professionals panel discussion on the show, which prompted attorney Star Jones to chime in that the ad made all the GOP candidates look like the Three Stooges: “…it does go to the whole Larry, Curly and Moe mentality of the Republican primary over the last few months. Liberal comedienne Joy Behar trashed Virginia for passing abortion restrictions, saying the new law makes the state like “the Taliban.” Behar highlighted legislation requiring women, in some cases, to have an ultrasound before getting an abortion, decrying the move as “invasive.” She then hyperbolically shrieked, “It’s like, what are we? What is this, the Taliban now? What are we, in Afghanistan? Where are we exactly in this country?” Behar denounced it as “so frickin’ intrusive to a woman’s body.”
