Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told an audience of Arab students in Tunisia on Saturday to not pay any attention to the rhetoric and comments made by the Republican candidates vying for President Barack Obama’s job, saying their rhetoric does not reflect U.S. policy.
According to CNN, Clinton’s remarks came in response to a question from a Tunisian student in the audience who asked about the pro-Israel stance of nearly every American politician — Democrat or Republican — when they run for office.

their rhetoric does not reflect U.S. policy. It is refreshing to see a more or less candid statement from Secretary Clinton for a change. U.S. policy in these matters does not reflect the views of most of us.
That’s among the reasons why Republican candidates are running for office. They desire significant changes in U.S. policy, foreign and domestic; as well we should. Secretary Clinton’s remarks should be given wider notice, by the Republicans, to highlight the differences. That would be better than using each other as punching bags while tending to ignore the current policies of President Obama with which they, and we, disagree.
