ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) – A town supervisor in Westchester County is the third Republican to announce a run for the U.S. Senate seat held by Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.
Rye Town Supervisor and hedge fund manager Joe Carvin announced his candidacy Wednesday. He joins Republican Nassau County comptroller George Maragos and New York City attorney Wendy Long.
Long announced her candidacy last week and is on a tour of upstate New York.
New York Republicans will choose a designated candidate March 16 in Rochester.

Whats wrong with the NY GOP, why did this take so long?

The NYGOP already announced a month ago they won’t be running anyone to contest Gillibrand’s seat, they are all liberals who infiltrated the republican and conservative party in NYS. They did the same with Schumer and he had a 30% approval rating, the lowest ever and they gave him another six years to screw NY…people need to get rid of the leadership here and find some true conservatives to take their places….
