NDAA: What part of “EXEMPT” do people not understand?


FIFTH AMENDMENT — Adam Smith and SASC Democrat Mark Udall this morning will unveil legislation to amend provisions in the 2012 Defense Authorization Act that have been interpreted by some as allowing for the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens. The bill will “ensure that any individual detained on U.S. soil has access to due process and the federal court system,” according to a news release.

    StopTSA, your link was bad, try again…the bill specifically says EXEMPTS U.S. Cotizens and LEGAL Aliens…was 1032 and moved to 1022 in the passed version…
