France shooter tied to al Qaeda, trained in Pakistan

French prosecutor Francois Molins told reporters that the suspect in the Jewish school shootings had been to Afghanistan twice and trained in Pakistan’s Waziristan, a militant stronghold. He said suspect Mohammed Merah’s brother had been implicated in a network that sent militant fighters to Iraq. French Interior Minister Claude Gueant said Merah had told police he belonged to al Qaeda. Read & Comment
