THE $10 MILLION MAN — A Pakistani man suspected of orchestrating a 2008 terrorist attack taunted the United States yesterday, saying the State Department should award him the $10 million bounty it is offering for information leading to his arrest.
“I am here, I am visible. America should give that reward money to me,” Hafiz Mohammad Saeed said at a news conference. “I will be in Lahore tomorrow. America can contact me whenever it wants to.” Pakistan has said it won’t arrest Saeed unless the United States provides evidence of his connection to an attack in Mumbai that killed 166 people.
