I know it’s old-fashioned, but I tend to think that people who want to be elected should make sure that not only they have no skeletons in their closets (and ties to terrorism sure qualifies in my mind, but who knows these days), but that the people supporting them have none, either.

Having Michael Ghouse and Mohammed Elibiary vouch for the supporters would put them outside my ring of friends, for sure.
