On Thursday, Fox News’ Todd Starnes reported that Mick Cochran, principal of Joshua High School in Joshua, Texas, has threatened to write a letter to the U.S. Naval Academy attacking the character of Remington Reimer, the valedictorian who recently gave a speech that referenced God and the U.S. Constitution.
Reimer made headlines earlier this month when school officials cut off his microphone in mid-speech. According to reports, Reimer’s speech included remarks not previously approved by the administration.
The Joshua Star reported that Reimer received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and thanked God for “sending His only son to die for me and the rest of the world.”
