PETITION | Cut Debt, Not VETS

Dear Patriot,

CutDebt_Logo250px

They’re at it again. Politicians in Washington cutting back-room, short-term deals that do nothing to reform government spending.

The latest is a budget “deal” that continues the status quo while doing nothing to rein in runaway government spending and debt.

But in their wisdom, they did find a few things to cut, including — are you ready for this?
— benefits for veterans and military retirees.

It’s outrageous. Given a chance to address the nation’s $17 trillion debt, our political leaders instead turn to the retirement pay of veterans and wounded warriors.

Why? It’s simple. Washington can’t make tough choices on large spending problems, so instead they chip away at the margins – this time, to military retirement pay.

At Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) we won’t take this lying down. That’s why we’ve launched the #CutDebtNotVets petition to hold our leaders accountable and tell them to cut the debt, not retirement pay for veterans.

PLEASE sign our petition and then SHARE it.

When we reach 10,000 signatures, the petition will be delivered to President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and House Speaker John Boehner.

We have the backs of our veterans, but we need your help. Sign the “Cut Debt, Not Vets” petition today, and urge your friends to do the same.

Let’s send a clear message to the Washington politicians who think they can cut veterans’ benefits while ignoring real spending reform: Not on our watch!
