Reconfigure congressional pay

H/T Chet froom Greece
I just read an old article about Congress voting themselves pay raises and benefits, etc. How many people think it’s rather unfair?

Well, why are they paid by the federal government at all? Why aren’t they paid by the states they represent? Technically, that’s whom they are working for, whom they represent.

Let the people of the states they represent determine their pay packages through the state governments. If they’re doing a good job, they can ask their constituents for more pay and benefits, kinda like we all have to do.

The more committees they are on, the more legislation they initiate and get through, the more influence they accrue, the more they accomplish, the more they are worth. Sounds fair to me!
