In the article entitled “Dream Act proponents urge Cuomo take action” (March 19), Sen. Jose Peralta, D-Queens, is quoted as having said, “The best way to take it out of everybody’s hands: Include it in the budget.”

We should all be concerned when our elected officials search for ways to take issues out of everybody’s hands.
