From what I’ve read in the Qur’an and Hadiths, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if their real intent is to somehow promote laughter at funerals and crying at weddings. Death, after all, is celebrated in Islam. But weddings, on the other than, in many parts of the Islamic world even make me want to cry …
