As noted in this space in early April, conservative filmmakers Ann McElhinney, Phelim McAleer, and Magdelena Segieda set out to make a true-crime TV movie about abortionist Kermit Gosnell and the house of horrors he ran Philadelphia until the law finally caught up with him.
We also wrote back then that the producers had run into a brick wall with crowdfunding site Kickstarter, which claimed the project violated “community guidelines.”
McAleer and company have since moved on to another fundraising website, Indiegogo where they have since raised most of the needed capital. However, they still have miles to go before they can put their project to bed.
Currently, there are $100,000 shy of their $2.1 million goal: So near but yet so far. They have five days to raise the money or will be required to forfeit all they have collected, returning it to investors.
We urge readers who can afford it to help these people make this important film.
