Is Rochester, New York a lost cause?

Is Rochester a lost cause?

I didn’t go to the Lilac Festival this year, because of the problems last year. I didn’t go to Charlotte beach this year on Memorial Day, because of the problems last year, also.

With an average of three murders a month and countless fights and crimes, why would I put myself in potential harm’s way? Why would anyone want to come to Rochester for a festival or to visit as a vacation destination?

The city of Rochester is out of control — from crime to unethical politicians, the list goes on and on. Just read the newspaper daily and you can get the gist of Rochester, the Flower City (weeds).

I personally have given up on festivals and mass gatherings. I just do not want myself or my family and friends to be a victim just because they are at the right place but the wrong time. W. WISCHMEYER – ROCHESTER
