In the aftermath of a dozen years of war following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, there is a growing number of disabled veterans in America.
Many veterans suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD. An excellent method for combating and dealing with the anxiety of PTSD is with a trained service dog.
Service dogs are wonderful animals, who can help their human handlers get through the numerous and varied day to day affairs that can sometimes prove troublesome or trigger anxiety attacks. Federal law recognizes the usefulness of service dogs, and requires that they be allowed into any business, even restaurants.
Recently a disturbing story came out of New Jersey, about a disabled vet with service dog being kicked out of a local franchise restaurant, according to ABC13.
