Here are a few of the top stories on Rebel News from the past week:

Journalists gathered in Edmonton yesterday to await Alberta Premier Jason Kenney’s budget announcement. But a member of Progress Alberta, a group aligned with the Alberta NDP, had been banned from the pre-budget “lockup”. They went to court and sought an emergency injunction to attend and Rebel News supported them.
On this special episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra explains what steps we took to help them, and why we did it.

In this bonus episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra examines the stark contrast between Justin Trudeau’s disastrous trip to India and how Donald Trump was received during his recent visit.

Antifa-type thugs blockaded the railroad tracks between downtown Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, in yet another protest against the Coastal GasLink pipeline project.
The police did not remove them; the police did not arrest them, and these environmentalist goons were not immediately punished for brazenly breaking the law. But if a journalist has the audacity to chronicle such lawlessness, he will be threatened with arrest…
This is what happened to David Menzies this week.

Rebel News recently visited Toronto’s Union Station to ask inconvenienced commuters about those irksome pop-up rail blockades, and we were fortunate to meet two First Nations people to garner their insight — and guess who they blame? (Spoiler alert: he bears the initials “J.T.”)

Yesterday was budget day in Alberta and the numbers speak for themselves: the province’s deficit is $6.8 billion, $100 million more than under Alberta NDP Finance Minister Joe Ceci’s final budget, and the total debt is now $85.9 billion.
But it wasn’t all bad news. Sheila Gunn Reid has more.
