The PropositionThe Mayor approached me with a request for one of O’Keefe Media Group’s covert cameras. He claimed it was to “expose malfeasance in the Roselle Park school system.” Intriguing, especially coming from a man who once tried to force a citizen to remove a Trump sign from her yard. The irony was not lost on me.

The Accusation

During our conversation, the Mayor accused me of causing “chaos” and making people “feel unsafe.” When pressed for specifics, his argument disintegrated like a sandcastle at high tide. I reminded him that questioning authority is not just my constitutional right but my journalistic obligation.

The Double Standard

What struck me as particularly absurd was the Mayor’s assertion that I had no right to attend a Roselle Park school board meeting because I don’t have children in the district. The Mayor himself doesn’t have children in the district, rendering his point moot and his hypocrisy glaring.

A Pattern of Ignorance

This isn’t an isolated incident. A few weeks prior, the Livingston New Jersey Department of Education made a similar claim, questioning my right to attend a school board meeting. As Jack Posobiec aptly put it, this is a case of “Man vs chaos.” If our educators can’t grasp the Constitution, what hope do our children have?

Final Thoughts

This encounter serves as a stark reminder of the lengths some individuals will go to stifle conservative voices. But as long as the First Amendment stands—and asl ong as I draw breath—they will not succeed.
