We just celebrated our 235th birthday as a nation. We celebrate July 4th as Independence Day because that is the day in 1776 our Founders officially signed the Declaration of Independence.
Thomas Jefferson’s famous words “We hold these truths to be self-evident…” mean there is no need for discussion or interpretation. Jefferson said, and 55 other men from diverse backgrounds agreed, that God the Creator had created all men equal.
Furthermore, this great God has endowed men with unalienable rights, among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Historical revisionists and secular humanists, since the beginning of the 20th Century, have led a relentless assault on these self-evident truths.
The fog of political correctness has become the enemy of American liberty, causing political and spiritual confusion. This confusion has lulled America to sleep.
However, there is a stirring of the American Spirit that is bringing a refreshing of citizen action and awareness not seen since the founding of our great nation.
Every day Americans are educating themselves through organizations like the Tea Party Movement and the blogosphere.
What is a blessing can sometimes become a curse in that many websites and organizations are being formed by the enemy within to cripple this new awakening.
How do we counter this attack on the truth, and more importantly, how do we recognize the truth? Is there such a thing as absolute truth?
Aletheia Group LLC is dedicated to getting the truth out about the founding of our nation and the relationship of politics and religion.
Is that even possible? That is, is there a relationship between politics and religion. Were we not taught that politics and religion do not mix? Some would have you think so but the truth and historical facts tell us a different story.
Please visit our website to watch a short video about the relationship between politics and religion and sign up to receive a free copy of the e-booklet, “Do Politics and Religion Mix?”
