Iraqi Shi’ite Militia Leader Watheq Al-Battat: Give Me A Month, And I Will Make ISIS Terrorists Wear Women’s Clothing

In an Iraqi TV interview, Watheq Al-Battat, leader of the Iraqi “Al-Mukhtar Army” Shi’ite militia, said: “Give us the chance, and we will destroy them… I will make them rue the day they ever called themselves ISIS. By Hussein, I will make them wear their women’s clothing.” The interview aired on Hona Baghdad TV on February 13, 2015.

Interviewer: “What was the message that you delivered to Al-Maliki [when he was still prime minister]?”

Watheq Al-Battat: “The message was that he needed to prepare for a confrontation with ISIS, because ISIS would enter the country within a year or a year and a half. That was the message I conveyed to him. The entire Iraqi people understood this, except the prime minister.

[…]

“ISIS is the enemy, and if it beats us, it can do whatever it likes with us…but as the saying goes: ‘If you want to build a state, you must load ten bullets in your gun – nine for your friends and one for your foe.'”

Syrian Commentator Taleb Ibrahim: If We Had Nuclear Bombs, We Would Drop Them On The Terrorists

In a recent TV interview, Syrian commentator Taleb Ibrahim, who frequently represents the Syrian regime in the media, said: “If only the regime had a nuclear weapon which it could use and rid us of these…” He further said of the proposed six-week ceasefire in Aleppo brokered by U.N. envoy Staffan de Mistura: “This is not a truce. This is a prelude to the unconditional surrender [of the terrorists].” The interview aired on February 18, 2015 on the new Qatari Al-Araby TV channel, broadcasting from London.

Interviewer: “Why does the Syrian regime offer, through de Mistura, only 6 weeks of [ceasefire in Aleppo]?”

Taleb Ibrahim: “This is not the issue. Six weeks is only a test period. So that Mr. de Mistura can start negotiating with the leaders of the armed groups in Aleppo, in an attempt to reach a final settlement. We will not sign a full ceasefire, so long as the armed groups keep their weapons, and continue to control various areas…”
